Kate Christie, author of Family Jewels, Gay Pride & Prejudice, Beautiful Game, Leaving L.A., and Solstice, was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After studying women's history at Smith College, she earned a Master's in Creative Writing from Western Washington University. Currently she lives near Seattle with her wife, daughter, and their two dogs.
