Ishbu loves marshmallow treats and Frederick loves Geography. Frederick and Ishbu were real rats that I had in my Kindergarten classroom. I used to make up stories about their adventures for my students. The three books in the series, THE MYSTERY OF THE BURMESE BANDICOOT, THE CASE OF THE PURLOINED PROFESSOR, and THE SECRET OF THE DOOLITTLE DEVICE grew out of those stories. (less)

It's finally finished! Several years ago, I started a third book about those adventuresome rat brothers--Frederick and Ishbu. It's been a long wait, but the book is done and available as an eBook. You can buy it at Amazon.com.

Why the long wait? Well, real life has a way of interrupting a writer's fantasy world from time to time. We had a rough couple of years that included an across-state move... Read more of this blog post »

A suspense novel that twists and turns and is full of surprises. What a page turner; I couldn't tell where the story was going. I also liked the supporting characters. John worked in this field (see his book, CRIME LAB) and he really knows his stuff.

The writing is amazing. Schine creates a real world by piling on layers of sensory details. She creates suspense by gradually introducing an unnamed narrator, not revealing the identity until the end. I found this a satisfying read. If you've read Au ...more

Amy Hi Judy!! Welcome!!

Judy O.K. I'll admit it. One day, while mired in the Slough of Despond, I gave all my books five stars. Sorry! It was a cheap thing to do. (But they are good books.)

You ROCK! My other passion is dragracing. I have my car and hubby has his. Our 3 sons have all indulged in it as well! I'm co-authoring a novel with a friend of 30+yrs (& we're still friends LOL), but I truly want to write children's books. Can we please stay in touch?

Cindy Hi! thx for added me :)
nice to meet you

Ramin_lion How do you know that you are in the year 2008?

--------------------------------------------------------
1) You find out that your family that is not more than 3 people have 4 or 5 mobile telephone numbers.
--------------------------------------------------------
2) You send an Email to a work colleague even though he/she is sitting at a desk right next to yours.
--------------------------------------------------------
3) Your relationship with family members and friends that have no Email gets worse and you hardly contact them.
--------------------------------------------------------
4) You park your car outside your house then use your mobile to phone the house to ask for assistance with carrying the shopping in.
--------------------------------------------------------
5) Every TV advert has an internet address at the bottom of the screen..
--------------------------------------------------------
6) Leaving the house without taking your mobile phone with you makes you really stress and rush back to pick it up even though you managed to live without one for 20 or 30 years of your life.
--------------------------------------------------------
8) As soon as you wake up in the morning you check the internet even before you have your coffee.
--------------------------------------------------------
9) You are now reading this, smiling and shaking your head.
--------------------------------------------------------
10) You are so busy reading this that you didn’t even notice that this list has no number 7.
--------------------------------------------------------
11) You went back up to check that there is no number 7.
--------------------------------------------------------
12) I am sure if you scrolled up that you will find number 7, its just that you didn’t notice it.
--------------------------------------------------------
13) You scrolled up again but you did not find number 7. I am making fun of you of course, this goes to show that you have no trust in yourself and that you believe anything said to you.
