about this author
ciara xyerra was born & raised in a working class family in northwest ohio. she started writing zines as a young teenager & quit traditional schooling at age 16. in 1999, at the age of 19, she organized the first bowling green zine conference. she then packed up & moved to portland, oregon, where she started writing the popular zine "a renegade's handbook to love & sabotage". "a renegade's handbook" ran for five issues & some 750 pages or so (that's a lot for a zine). by the time she stopped writing it, she had re-located to boston massachusetts, where she started her zine distro.
"you live for the fight when that's all that you've got" was released in early 2006.
in 2007, she did a zinester residency at the roberts street social center in halifax, nova scotia, & launched her current zine projects, "love letters to monsters" & "up the logic punks!" (which is an all-logic puzzle zine). she is currently working on the third issues of each & writes for her blog at http://crabigailadams.wordpress.com.
