It's a big pile of stinking poop, but it's caught up! :D

Today's Progress:

Total Progress So Far:

I love Nano. It allows me to write lines like: "We can hope," she said forlornly. Oh, Eeyore the former vampire, don't be sad. We made our target for today!

There is almost nothing about that line that I would ever write in "real" writing!

It's been a busy, yet strangely unproductive couple of days! I want to make sure I stay accountable to my productivity (or lack thereof!) so I know where I stand and how much work I need to do to catch up. How are you guys doing?

November 2 - Day Two:

November 3 - Day Three:

So, I'm plugging right along if not exactly making my target each day. I STILL have no idea of how this story is going to progress. I'm working on that outline, and I at least need to have an ending in mind, and then I can j...

Today's Count:

Didn't quite make it, but not too bad. I might be able to make it up tomorrow. I'm finding that my major problem isn't going to be word count, but by not having an outline, I may not be able to finish the story, or keep it going in any kind of coherent way. I may have to sit down and at least sketch out a quickie outline.

Total Count:

We'll see how it goes tomorrow! How did you do?

Glitter Text Maker

That's right! 30 straight days of word counts, mumblings and complaints about how bad the story is, and entirely too much coffee! I'm actually looking forward to it, because that means I will be writing SOMETHING, which I haven't been able to do in a while. Although I was really proud of myself for getting my website going again! My goal for 2010 is to actually FINISH two novels, and get back into the writing game again. I miss it, and it's been too long. I'm very weary of my health getting i...

I don't have my own domain name yet, and honestly, I don't know when I will. I just don't have the money right now. BUT this new free host I'm trying is AWESOME, and if I can scrape up the cash, I may move in permanently.

Due to a dispute with GoDaddy.com -- who may be the least responsible host I have ever dealt with -- HAFowler.com has been closed down. I am in the process of finding both a new domain (since GoDaddy sold this one to a squatter and I am not willing to pay hundreds of dollars to retrieve it), so please keep your eye on this journal for updates. Thanks for your patience, and I hope to have some new stories for you soon!

If a new site appears at HAFowler.com, unless you hear from me, IT IS NOT LEGIT

Katy is a sixteen year old avid reader and aspiring author and illustrator who has won local awards for her artwork. Just before Christmas, Katy and her mother became homeless. They were evicted from their apartment and have been living in hotel rooms (when they've been lucky) or their car (when they've not been so lucky) since then. Katy has been blogging about life on the streets, and you can read all about how this incredibly sweet mother and d

I mentioned on my Facebook recently that THE HUMAN CONDITION, my current work in progress, is close to going into the crapper. I've been stuck on chapter four for weeks now, and haven't been able to figure out what it was about the story that wasn't grabbing my attention. (Just for the record, if what you're writing bores you, chances are good it's going to completely lose your reader.)

Today I figured out what I think may be PART of the problem -- I've got too many major plotlines. It's not unus
