About this author

I was born in Toronto, Canada and earned a B.A. in history at the University of Windsor. I've lived in Scotland and Northern Ireland since moving to Britain in 1990.

I've written historical and human interest articles for Canadian and Irish newspapers and magazines as well as contributing to an Irish local history book. 'Hitler and Mars Bars' is my first novel.

I live with my husband on a farm in Northern Ireland. Curiosity about the past has inspired my longstanding interest in history and genealogy and my love of historical fiction. I'm a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Fermanagh Authors Association. My other interests include Celtic, folk and bluegrass music; hiking and

Michael Murphy Dianne, thanks for connecting on Goodreads. Wishing you continued success with your writing. Hope you'll add my new Prohibition-era mystery, The Yankee Club, to your to read list. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Dianne Ascroft Hi Wendi,

Sorry I haven't got back to you before now - it's been hectic the last week or so. I'm glad you enjoyed my book - and I hope your book club will too.

I've been editing a yearly publication for our local writers' organisation for a couple months as well as working on my own writing so I've barely had a minute. I really want to start work on the sequel to Hitler and Mars Bars - just have to clear some time for it.

Wendi Hi Dianne,

I loved your book - it was very touching and I have talked about it often. One of my book clubs is talking about adding it to the 2010 list of books we are going to read! :) I'm still amazed about Operation Shamrock.

I'm trying to get all my reviews updated onto the sites I add reviews to. . . I'm updated through mid-April so far.

I hope you are doing well!

:) Wendi

Nate Kenyon It sure is! :) Glad to have you on my friends list.

Candace Salima The world is indeed a very small place. I'll have to check out your book. My father has passed on now, but his childhood molded a great deal of the man he became because he chose to shake off the horrors of his past and became an American patriot like no other.

Good luck with the sales of your book.
