About this author

I enjoy reading and writing romance because the genre celebrates the joy of living life passionately--taking risks, embracing wonder, creating your own happy ever after.

Steampunk is my newest love. Such a great way to mis-use my history degree :)

I'm hugely appreciative of everyone who takes the time to share a review of my books. I find reviews a challenge to write, so THANK YOU!

coast1I had a very mini-coastal escape on the weekend. I drove down to a local beach. It seemed effective though, because on Monday I finished the-story-that-would-not-end and sent it off to my crit partner with the message “please, don’t hurry to return it!” The story is fabulous, but getting the emotional development right in under 12,000 words was a challenge.

Joyously, that means I can finally foc...

If you're a Kristen Ashley fan, you'll love Jake and Josie, and the whole story. It felt like a slightly more family version of Motorcycle Man. It was warm and fun, sexy and enjoyable. If you've not tried KA's books before, I started with "Rock Chick...more

I'm a big fan of Ainslie Paton's books. White Balance is one of my favourites - complicated, emotional and real. Floored is more action, with a tighter focus on the romance. Plus Floored has Sean.

Loved it! No more to say :)

Once I adjusted to the significant level of violence in Shelly Laurenston's books (especially in her Dragon series written as GA Aiken) they became re-read favourites -- and "Bite Me" is added to the list.

"Emily Goes to Exeter" is as charming as its cover. Sometimes MC Beaton's almost too harsh for me in how she skewers people's pretensions and the silly "rules" by which we live our lives. But in this opening to the Travelling Matchmaker series, I thi...more

Thank you! "Excited" doesn't even come close to describing how I feel. I have to ration !!! or they'd take over my every post.

So happy!!! ;)

Harlequin Books Hi Jenny. Almost time for your release. Congrats!

Jenny Schwartz Hi Steph, thanks for accepting the friend invite! So scary asking.

Japan must be so much more exciting than Canberra. I'm in Perth now, but I lived in Canberra about ten years ago. The people are great and well, I quite like country towns, so I enjoyed Canberra, too. But it's definitely not exciting. Still, I enjoyed being able to say I lived in the Australian capital and kangaroos really did jump through the streets :)

message 6: by Steph

Steph Hi Jenny, Where in Australia are you? We just moved from there. We were in Canberra, not exciting but a lot of fun. We miss everything about AU, but the cost of living! LOL!

Thanks for the friendvite. :)

Jenny Schwartz I am such a computer dumbie. Took forever just to change my profile photo. *sigh*

Aprille Yes, life has a tendency to do that. Congrats on the novella by the way.
I was looking forward to reading more of TD, I thought it was a very interesting concept.
My writing is going ok, I've trundled down a different track with it now; started a new story.
Good to hear from you :)

Jenny Schwartz Renee wrote: "May I ask when the next chapter of The Divide is expected? :)"

Hi Renee

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, the answer is no time soon. Life has caught up with me. I haven't even had a chance to catch up here on Goodreads. I have a novella coming out with Carina Press soon and I'm writing its sequel.

The Divide is likely hanging fire an awfully long time.

Hope your writing is going well? :)

Aprille May I ask when the next chapter of The Divide is expected? :)

Jenny Schwartz Looking around, getting comfortable, metaphorically putting feet on the coffee table (don't worry, it's an old and battered one, needs sanding and repainting). Very neat to vote on "anticipated books". Like being a kid and waiting for Christmas, swapping wish lists with friends.
