Basically I became interested in becoming a writer after reading Terry McMillan’s novel Disappearing Acts. In 2004 my author dreams were realized via the release of my controversial debut novel My Daughter’s Boyfriend, the story of a 34-year old single mother that becomes attracted to her teenage daughter’s boyfriend. My second novel is My Husband’s Girlfriend, a story about a wife that allows her husband to take on a mistress. There's also Brothers and Wives, My Sister's Ex, & Crush (anthology contributor) and Reckless (novella is called Desperate Housewife).

My first ever series is soon to be on the shelves: If Your Wife Only Knew (Dec. 29, 2015). Book two is My Married Boyfriend (Aug. 30, 2016) and book three is Revenge of the Mistres

Writing is very intense for me and taking time to relax may help.
(2) Sometimes I can think about which characters are in the scene that I'm working on; where are they at exactly, what is about to happen or what just happened? I have to ask myself a few questions and visualize what should come next.(less)

Being creative is a liberating (and scary) process. I read my books just like any other reader. Laughing at their craziness and shaking my head when they do something scandalous. Writing is hard work but very fulfilling.(less)

I can never forget the novel that introduced me to the literary world. Around 1999, I began to write a book that started with a simple premise: what if there was a guy that had a girlfriend, but he started liking his girlfriend's mother? That was the start of me trying to write this storyline. When I finished in 2000, I was so hyped. I actually finished writing a book. This had never happened b... Read more of this blog post »
