About this author

Drusilla Campbell lives in San Diego with her husband, the lawyer-poet-professor, Art Campbell, two rescued dogs and four horses. She was born in Melbourne, Australia and came to California when she was six years old. Before that she criss-crossed the United States by train and car with her brave and resourceful mother and mostly adorable baby brother. She grew up in the Santa Clara Valley in the halcyon days before the dot com magnates discovered it, attended San Jose State University, and then started traveling again. She taught in Melbou...more

Life After Life by Kate AtkinsonI like looking at all the Kate Atkinson books I have lined up in my bookcase. Behind the Scenes at the Museum. Human Croquet. Emotionally Weird and more. The covers remind me of the hours of pleasure this author has given me. There’s a directness and generosity in Atkinson’s writing that makes her voice a stand out in a time when half the books I read are by authors striving for a barely nuance...

This book haunts me. While I found it tedious in places and not quite believable in others, I continued to read out of a sense of horrified fascination, not even sure what it was about. Only at the end did I realize that Lulu is an avatar for the Uni...more

I didn't like that one at all. Didn't finish it even which is kind of rare for me.

Bradley I hope you are having a good day! =)

Nic Welcome, Drusilla! Hope you come to love this site as much as I do.

Michael By the way, it's me not Michael. When I went to sign up I found he was already a member. I also just read Nick Hornby's High Fidelity which I thoroughly enjoyed. Now i want to check out the movie.

Michael Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and the 3rd one to be released on oct 1) are great thrillers. Unfortunately for Stieg, he died before becoming famous. xx

Rosemary Happy reading, Drusilla!

Jacqui Good to see you here. Looking forward to this weekend.
