Sicherlich kann man bezweifeln, dass allein der frühe Umgang mit Rechenmaschinen den Aufstieg Bill Gates zum reichsten Mann der Welt vorzeichnete, um nur ein Beispiel herauszugreifen. Dazu bedurfte es mindestens ebenso sehr die Fähigkeit zu ungewöhnlichen Visionen, einen ausgeprägten Geschäftssinn, familiäres „Vitamin B“ und nicht zuletzt die nötige Ellbogenmentalität.
