Nancy Loewen has published more than 100 books for children and young adults. A recent picture book, The LAST Day of Kindergarten (Marshall Cavendish Children), was a Minnesota Book Award finalist. The Writer’s Toolbox series (Picture Window Books) received a Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.

Nancy holds an MFA in creative writing from Hamline University, St. Paul. She lives in the Twin Cities with her husband, two teenage children, a chubby beagle, an ancient guinea pig, and two very sleepy cats. She likes to garden, cook, walk her chubby dog, and collect weird figurines from thrift stores.
