Sab H. (YA Bliss) OMG! Yay for coming to Houston! I was the first in the tour for Exiled Queen and I just finished it. I have to say WOW! I absolutely adored it! I'm such a fan of that series (I haven't read Heir Chronicles yet though) I need book three NOW!! :)

Love your writing and originality and your excellently plotted story. I'm stunned and breathless. I want to read it over and over again!

Best,
Sab

message 24: by Kelly

Kelly Cinda Chima,

Thanks! That really did help me a ton! There have been times when I've questioned myself on many of the things you wrote.

I'm going to try, yet again, to write a story\book. I'm very good at writing songs...I've never fully finished a story or book well enough to show to anyone, however, as I've always felt sort of shy towards them.

Thank you, yet again
- Kelly

message 23: by Cinda

Cinda Check out my blog post on this topic!
http://cindachima.blogspot.com/2010/0...

message 22: by Kelly

Kelly I can imagine the amount of stress that’s put on your shoulders per book! However, doesn’t it pay off when you see the readers whom are very strongly into your books, as well as the hunk of pay you receive via it?

I have a strong lust for reading, as well as writing. I write my own songs, as well as play them live, & used to write short stories, but they were more-or-less the type of things that are lacking the fundamental to have a better overall story. I tend to just describe one specific thing for pages & pages. For example, I can describe the water, the dock the character’s standing on; everything. Just not continue on with the story itself!

I’m just not sure how to go about it. I have character names, as well as the general plot. I’m just always confused as to how to ‘start’ a book. I suppose that’s my weakness?

-Kelly

message 21: by Cinda

Cinda Pure, unadulterated panic! That's what goes through an author's mind when begins a novel and she's lucky enough to be under contract. It's like signing up for a 500-page term paper. And because I work without an outline, it's like working without a net. And yet...and yet I'm working on my seventh book now. You just have to work through the panic.

message 20: by Kelly

Kelly Hi! Thank you for accepting my friendship. I love your books. I am always curious what first goes through an authors' mind to begin writing a certain book. I'm eager to finally get into the last book in the Heir series.
