One of those rare books where you lament every turn of the page because it means you're one step closer to it being over.
I laughed and I cried as the series unraveled and loose ends were tied up. An awesome read! So sad it's over. Movie, please! " Read more of this review » |

“Ellen could have killed me," Jack said quietly, "but she didn't. She saved my life."
"How come?" Fitch demanded. "After all this?"
Ellen turned scarlet and stared at the ground. "Maybe none of my opponents ever gave me flowers before," she mumbled.”

Just wanted to say that I love the Seven Realms series and I just wanted to know when The Crimson Crown will be out in paperback format?
Hello! I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the Seven Realms series! Your books are definitely one of my favorites. I'll be reading the Heir Chronicles which I'm pretty sure would be great too. Thank you!
Thank you for giving this series such a beautiful and satisfying ending. I have spent the most wonderful day lost in Raisa and Han's world.
Your books have changed my life! It's hard to find great fantasy books nowadays and yours are my favourites! Don't stop writing because I'll always be there waiting for them to come out. Always.
Hello Mrs. Chima. I must say, I am an avid reader of your novels, and do quite enjoy the experience that each gives me. Right now, I am anxiously awaiting to get a hold of the second Realms book, for a long waitng list at my public library prevents me from reading it. Thank you so very much, and I really loved the Heir novels. Simply fantastic!

Thanks for accepting my request, and for the comment! :) I may be coming to your signing at the Stark County Library on Monday. I'm looking forward to it!
Thanks for advertising here on Goodreads! I'd much rather see more book reviews on here than some of the unrelated ads that normally come up. So thank you for supporting this awesome site! I'll definitely buy your book the next time I'm at a bookstore!

OMG! Yay for coming to Houston! I was the first in the tour for Exiled Queen and I just finished it. I have to say WOW! I absolutely adored it! I'm such a fan of that series (I haven't read Heir Chronicles yet though) I need book three NOW!! :)Love your writing and originality and your excellently plotted story. I'm stunned and breathless. I want to read it over and over again!
Best,
Sab
Glad you enjoyed the Heir Chronicles. Re Houston visit--Possibly! I put Texas on the list, but am waiting to hear from my publisher the finals. I also will be in Houston in May 2011 for some school visits. CWC
Are you by any chance coming near the Houston area on your next tour? I loved the Heir chronicles, by the way.Thank you,
Arya
Cinda Chima,Thanks! That really did help me a ton! There have been times when I've questioned myself on many of the things you wrote.
I'm going to try, yet again, to write a story\book. I'm very good at writing songs...I've never fully finished a story or book well enough to show to anyone, however, as I've always felt sort of shy towards them.
Thank you, yet again
- Kelly
I can imagine the amount of stress that’s put on your shoulders per book! However, doesn’t it pay off when you see the readers whom are very strongly into your books, as well as the hunk of pay you receive via it?I have a strong lust for reading, as well as writing. I write my own songs, as well as play them live, & used to write short stories, but they were more-or-less the type of things that are lacking the fundamental to have a better overall story. I tend to just describe one specific thing for pages & pages. For example, I can describe the water, the dock the character’s standing on; everything. Just not continue on with the story itself!
I’m just not sure how to go about it. I have character names, as well as the general plot. I’m just always confused as to how to ‘start’ a book. I suppose that’s my weakness?
-Kelly
Pure, unadulterated panic! That's what goes through an author's mind when begins a novel and she's lucky enough to be under contract. It's like signing up for a 500-page term paper. And because I work without an outline, it's like working without a net. And yet...and yet I'm working on my seventh book now. You just have to work through the panic.
Hi! Thank you for accepting my friendship. I love your books. I am always curious what first goes through an authors' mind to begin writing a certain book. I'm eager to finally get into the last book in the Heir series.-Kelly
That's awesome! I'm about to be a sophomore; do you know what year she is? By the way, thanks for the add!

Paperback edition of The Crimson Crown is set for release September 24, 2013.
