Hmm. Ok, here's the problem with this book (and there are quite a few): Patti Boyd isn't a particularly good writer. Her stories are a bit scattered, and they don't have overarching themes to make them memorable. She just sticks in small tidbits t...

Hi Allison,We definitely should be friends what with enjoying cozy mysteries, tea and rainy day reads. I joined a couple of mystery-related groups you're in - thanks for alerting me.
Nancy
Thank you for your friend invite, Allison. Best for your interesting series. Have a great week and happy reading.Ed
HI Bonnie, Very nice quote! I read your profile and remember the Trixie Beldon books! They were fun, as was the Nancy Drew series. Have you read the Mitford series by Jan Karon? If so, you would enjoy Mrs. Bundle--she's very sedate but can pack a mean punch if she has to. Best to you and good reading!Allison
I got completely swept up in both Mrs. Bundle novels! I highly recommend it for those who are lovers of mysteries or for thoses who just love a really good book. Can't wait for the next one!

Yes, I've always loved the farcical nature and Georgie Pillson and Lucia, and all the other characters! In fact, that series was the inspiration of my mystery series, set in Vermont---Mrs Bundle lives in fictional North PILLSON Corners (a little homage to Benson). The other inspiration was Agatha Christie; and the Jan Karon Mitford series, too, which I adore in all its "naive" naughtiness.
