MOVIE UPDATE!
Got a surprise call from A Ferris Wheel Films... pre-production begins this week on "Midnight Snack"! That means commissioned artwork, casting, etc. Also... they're sending someone to Cannes Film Festival to start promotion (woops, just fell over there)! Look for maybe a movie poster or other pics soon. I'm tingling..

Well, there it is... stick a fork in this one, it's done. But make sure you stick it in the brain, what with it being about zombies and all. :) "Another Rotten Night", sequel to "Midnight Snack", is finished, as far as my part is concerned. Now it's just the editing and then off to the printer. Looking at a June release. Viva Carson Dudley, praise God and thanks everyone for your support.

Movie update! Things are moving now on the film version of my book - they've rebranded the project as "Graveyard Shift" (the name of the series), apparently with an eye on a franchise, not just a standalone movie(!). There's a director and producer attached to it too, some names with Hollywood credit; also talk of 2012 filming and a possible Horror Rules video game(!!). If someone would periodically pinch, slap or splash cold water on my face, I would appreciate it. God is good. Stay tuned!

Woop woop! Just finished the final draft of "Another Rotten Night"! Well, it was 11:30 last night, but it feels like only yesterday! Hope to have a teaser posted in the next month or so... and shooting for a March release. Thanks all who've been... er... "reminding" me to keep writing! :) God bless!

Well, it's done! Sorry, not ALL done, but I just hit the official halfway point of the rough draft of book 2 in the Graveyard Shift series. Woot! Hey, a milestone is a milestone. :)

Carson and crew are up to their necks in zombies and other work-related problems in "Another Rotten Night." I'm really liking how things are turning out, creepy, crawly, funny and loaded with shenanigans.

If this keeps up, I'm still on track to get it done in 2011. Double woot! Thanks all for your patience and constant pressure to get it done.

Alright, enough talk, back to writing! Can't wait to see what happens next...

It's done... "Midnight Snack" the screenplay is finished and in the capable hands of A Ferris Wheel Films. Hollywood, beware! Whew. That was fun. Now, at looooooong last, I can get on to the book I've been spoiling to write... about bad guys who've just plain been spoiling. Time to bust out the digital pencil and get crackin' on Graveyard Shift: The Adventures of Carson Dudley Book 2 - "Another Rotten Night!" Bring on the zombie ninjas... bring on the corn dogs... bring on the wacky-tongui-in-cheek-over-the-top-horror-comedy-supernatural-adventure-novel-sequels! And if anyone else calls and wants me to write another screenplay, tell 'em it'll have to wait 'til the book is finished. Woot!

Okay, or maybe just take a message and see what the movie is.

Well, it's official - signed the contract to write the screenplay for "Midnight Snack". Woot! Better yet, it's almost finished... I'll be shooting it off to A Ferris Wheel Films within the week. Brace yourself, Hollywood. Vampires, corn dogs and angry nuns incoming...

Spent two days at CamasCon this weekend as the keynote speaker. It's a Christian gamer's camp - there was a foot of snow, a barrel full of games, too many awesome folks to count and an (almost) overwhelming amount of God. Man! What am I doin' back here?! Let me in, let me in!!

First draft, that is!

I put the final nail in the proverbial coffin of the rough draft of the "Midnight Snack" screenplay. I'll let it cool for a bit before taking another crack, but I'm amped at how it turned out!

It changes the focus from horror-comedy to more of a suspense-mystery-horror-comedy (per the request of A Ferris Wheel Films), and I have to say, I likey. It added dimension with new locations in Las Calamas, expanded scenes of character background, some knock-down-drag-out scraps and enough suspense and horror to choke a hungry vampire.

Hmmm... that just gave me an idea...
