Walter Greatshell here. I am the author of XOMBIES (Berkley, 2004), which was rereleased as XOMBIES: APOCALYPSE BLUES (2009), and followed by the sequels XOMBIES: APOCALYPTICON (2010), and XOMBIES: APOCALYPSO (2011). I have a short story called "The Mexican Bus" in the zombie anthology THE LIVING DEAD 2 (Night Shade Books), and my novel MAD SKILLS was called "the literary equivalent of a syringe of adrenaline" by Publishers Weekly. My latest books are the giant satire ENORMITY (Night Shade Books), written under the pen-name W.G. Marshall, and TERMINAL ISLAND, a novel of suspense and cosmic terror.

Greetings, all--check out the new book trailer for my novel TERMINAL ISLAND. Ooooo--spooky!

"The best zombie book (okay, specifically: running zombies) I've ever read, bar none. An ultra-weird science fiction bio-apocalypse with the world transformed instantaneously into a crazed game of "blob tag" between billions of unkillable blue zomb..." Read more of this review »

"Xombies is a hard book to categorize.

It would be easy to just pigeonhole it as yet another zombie apocalypse story – but that would be the lazy reviewer’s way out because there’s a lot more to Xombies then … well … ummm … zombies. From a bit of Th..." Read more of this review »

"Walter Greatshell, Xombies (Berkley, 2004)

Fairly standard zombie novel, when it's a zombie novel, but it very quickly becomes something else; the zombies are just a prop to get our core group of survivors onto a nuclear sub, where the real core of..." Read more of this review »

I really appreciate that, Matt. Thanks so much for reading Terminal Island and taking the time to comment--writing is a very solitary job, so your nice feedback means a lot to me.

Matt Schirano I just read Terminal Island and enjoyed it very much! Thank you!

Walter Greatshell Thanks, Jessica! I really appreciate that, and hope you like the other books. Maybe we'll meet up at next year's Comic-Con and hit the Game of Thrones panel!

Jessica Walter, I really, really liked Xombies! I can't wait to read the next two!

Walter Greatshell Thanks, Nate! I'm still getting the hang of it...
