Yup, a few days ago a publisher agreed to publish my 2nd novel. He said it's still in process and if all good, it will be published by the end of the year. The title? It's still tentative, but it would probably "Last Anthropos" or "Memory of Anthropos", of all honesty, I prefer to give Indonesian title instead english one, but market always prefer the english one, phooey. Me and my idealism.
Anyway, the novel was written prior to Jukstaposisi, my 1st novel, but I pended it due being stuck. I finished it around end of 2007, putting it into hibernation again because I'm too lazy to covering the plotholes and blah blah blahs. One year later in 2009 I submitted it a publisher, waiting for 2 months and there!
The story genre is science fiction taking place in alternate history in future, still located in Indonesia, but with a lot of modification here and there.
If you want to take glimpse of the story, you could read my short story titled A Time for Gaia. It's a short story based on my upcoming Enshao Anadi novel (which partially appeared in Jukstaposisi), and it contains a bit sneak peek of this scifi novel.

Just recently I started watching korean drama titled "Sweet Spy", I was attracted because I need some entertainment, and I thought this movie might be enjoyable treat because I enjoy spy genre.
After watching about 12 episodes, I hope someone could convice me that Korean Drama is not this terrible. It's all about cinderella. It's all about poor girl met rich guy (and very handsome one) who somehow ended to give the heroine unconditional love.
Cinderella plot is fine really, but I don't know which part makes this drama looks terrible. Lame plot, lame acting, or both?
The main hero and the main heroines just dont have chemistry. The characterization is too shallow and very predictable.
The only things keep me watching this drama are the eye candies. The actors and actresses are beautiful and handsome. The heroine and the hero make a cute couple despite the lack of chemistry.
At first I thought I could learn something from korean drama so I could incorporate something romantic in my future novel, but I guess I'm wrong. Cliche is not my style at all. I should really be careful because it might influence my writing later.
8 episode to go, and I have prepared to detox my mind soon with Elaine Pargels' Gnostic Gospels. I have wanted to read it for long time
This will keep me occupied awhile because I just have finished Karen Armstrong's Great Transformation. It's one of the most enjoyable book I have read in awhile. If everyone read it, I'm sure the world will become more peaceful.
Enshao Anadi is progressing rather smoothly, I'm at page 229 and I cant wait to write more. But it's gotta be waited for awhile because this drama keeps my mind occupied.
I hope to finish it as soon as possible because I want to start writing english novel, really. I have been practicing my english for awhile, and I think I must somehow withstand the challenge.

Does mankind really loves our earth, our place? I have been thinking this lately. I just recently written a short story "a Time for Gaia", inspired from my moment when I waited Earth Hour's end last week.
I have been discussing with my friends as well, we can't change the world when we don't change ourselves. I try to change my behaviour, using less electricing or doing simple things like not littering. I feel the most important point of changing the world is taking ourself as starting point. If we could change ourself, maybe we could change other people, and someday the world.
Anyway, I have uploaded my short story to goodreads, enjoy and I would appreciate for constructive comments. Writing in english is more fun than I thought, because I could experimenting a lot of aesthetic expression that is not possible in Indonesian language.

Welcome to baldie's.... I mean calvin's english blog. For these who unaware, my name, Calvin is derived from calvus, which means bald in latin, so you now know calvin klein means little baldie, cute huh? As my name itself, it means the Charity of Bald who Likes God (couldn't be more nonsensical than this).
Anyway, this blog will be written in english and would probably focus to my activity related to writing. This is also a good place to practice my english.(less)
