about this author
Praise for Broken Bulbs:
"...a brilliant and stunningly original work, by far the best novel I read in 2008."
- Alternative Reel
"An existentialist’s dream, the author has dug in deep and laid bare the raw emotion so candidly that we can actually feel the futility, the desperation, and the humour."
"Philip Dick would be proud."
- POD People
"...it’s about obsession, self-negation, love, even God (“The Everything”), making Broken Bulbs an entirely unique take on a subject. It’s a science fictional, hard-boiled, poetic vision of drug addiction and hamsters (read it!) A great addition to a genre that has never existed before."

description:
The first chapter of my novella "Broken Bulbs." Here's what the book is about:
Frank Fisher is nothing. He wants to be something. When a mysterious young woman named Bonnie offers assistance by injecting, seeds of inspiration directly into his brain, Frank finds himself involved in a twisting mystery full of addiction, desperation and self-discovery. Broken Bulbs, a novella by Eddie Wright, tells the story of the lengths one young man will go in the pursuit of "somethingness."
Enjoy.

I enjoyed reading your interview online and I have to say it seems you and I have a lot in common when it comes to the "self-published world" in which we live. I, too find it difficult at times being inexperienced with marketing, along with all the other "how-to's" of how to get ones book out to the public. I am still waiting for the day I walk into an airport and see my book in someones hands. Hopes and dreams, something I believe every true author has and hopefully never loses. Take care and if you'd ever like to exchange ideas pertaining to ways of promoting our stories please feel free to send me a message.
Thanks for the invitation Eddie. Although I would have accepted anyway I absolutely had too when I found out the character names in Broken Bulbs. I found that very amusing.
Have a great weekend!
Bonnie
I want to apologize for the all the recommendations from me today. I wanted to share the Stoker Award news, and I only pressed the send button once--I'm not sure what happened.Argh...this is terrible...
Again, I'm very sorry.

Thanks for the friendship, Eddie! Here’s wishing you a nifty new 2008 filled with noiseless noses, neato nicknames, noble Nebraskans, gnarly narcoleptic nebulas, and novel novels about nut-eating narwhals and novercaphobic gnats.
I thought I'd let you know that my novel “Vacation” has been nominated for the best Horror Novel of 2007 in the Preditors & Editors Readers' Poll. So far it's ranked 4th.
