I cannot say enough about this series. It rocks! There is emotional turmoil, betrayal, and all sorts of skullduggery. S.J. Day has made my summer!

I didn’t expect the twist in Eve of Destruction. I would have thought a particular situation would have gone the other way. But, it was brilliant really.
...this whole book is hot. Hot action, hot suspense, hot guys!

Eve of Darkness is the first book of this fascinating new trilogy. I loved the character of Eve. She is spunky, bright, and very mad about unfairly being manipulated into this position. I found the whole premise of this new trilogy, that sinners can be marked and must serve God killing off demons and other things that are evil, to be delightfully fresh and even humorous in parts. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next two books. This is a fantastic start for a debut series!

Eve of Chaos is the third novel in the Marked series and is as engrossing as the previous releases. Ms. Day pulls readers into her well-built world with solid characters, strong emotions, and action on every page. Eve of Chaos delivers all of the danger, romance and paranormal adventure that readers of the genre look for. This is a must read for fans of the Marked series.

Just know that this is another terrific entry into Day's UF world. It's full of good action and storytelling with great tension. It has an excellent story arc that leaves us wanting more from the next book (coming soon, thankfully). I highly recommend this book to fans of the author or fans of Urban Fantasy.

Ms. Day takes on the classic good vs. evil story from a new and exciting point of view. I really enjoyed reading Eve of Darkness and I am looking forward to the next book in this series, Eve of Destruction. Lucky for me, there are 3 of these books coming out within 3 months, so I won’t have long to wait for Eve’s next adventure.

Ms. Day gets the first thing for me right in a sequel. She allows her heroine to grow while at the same time not letting her do anything out of character from the 1st novel. Eve is a truly wonderful character. Just when you think that all of the heroines for urban fantasy must be assembled in some factory, along pops Eve Hollis. S.J. Day brings the best thing an author can to the urban fantasy genre, something new.

This is a novel you can definitely read in one sitting because the complexity of the plot keeps you turning pages and reading more, needing to know what happens next. Eve of Darkness holds your attention and doesn't let go.
