S.J. Day's Blog

S.J. Day does not disappoint with this new installment to the series, and Eve of Destruction is even better than the first. I was very pleased with how it turned out, and the drama and suspension had my eyes glued to the pages.

The second book is even better. The tension between Eve, Cain and Abel isn't all about sex in this book but the tension of it is still there. This book is even more action packed than the first one and we get to see that not everything is in the order it seems at first.

S.J. Day is a new author for me. In the sea of urban fantasy, I thought that this book had a pretty original spin: Evangeline Hollis has been Marked as one of God's warriors and is caught in a romantic triangle with Cain and Abel (yes, the biblical brothers).

the new marked series starring eve by SJ Day are awesome! eve of darkness was a fantastic book with a little religious/bible twist only touched upon by la banks.

I thought this was a powerful start to a new series by S.J. Day. I love the world she's created and can't wait to get the next book. I think it's already out now. Evangeline Hollis is a great heroine and I just love the new twist on the brothers Cain and Abel.

With a smart and very engaging heroine and interesting world-building, Eve of Darkness came very close to being a winning read for me.

I also remembered to get SJ Day’s Eve of Destruction and decided I’d pick up another copy of Eve of Darkness for a contest. She sent me an ARC which I read and loved and so I must share the love.

I absolutely loved the first book, Eve of Darkness. It was truly exceptional, especially when you take into account that it was the first book of a new series in the increasingly crowded Urban Fantasy Genre. I am happy to say that the bar that was set in book one was actually exceeded in book two.

I just finished reading this book about 5 minutes ago. I have to say it was even better than the first! It was full of action and thrills, just like the first. This book was just as hard to put down as the first. I expect the third to be the same! Can't wait!

I really didn't think this book could be better than the first. i was so wrong. plenty of action in this one. watching eve sift through all of the possibilities of what is going on around her shows just what a slick girl she is.
