There is a dangerous mystery to solve and while there is a conclusion to the story, part of the plot is left unfinished, making me want to run to the store and grab the third book, Eve of Chaos, to see what happens next. Unfortunately, as of the time I finished reading this book, the next installment isn't out yet. So I must wait. Since the books are being released in 3 consecutive months, my wait is thankfully brief.

With the heated tension escalating and death around every corner, EVE OF DESTRUCTION was an exhilarating, compelling read!

I love how this book starts and ends. The first chapter is awesome with tons of action and a very tension filled moment then it flashes back to six weeks earlier. The end of the book is the beginning of the first chapter again. So you will definitely want to pick up the second book, Eve of Destruction to find out what happens. Good thing it is already out!

If you like a bit of romance thrown in with your urban fantasy, then S.J. Day's Marked Novels should be right up your alley. And if they continue to get better, like Eve of Destruction has, I can hardly wait to see what Day has planned for the final novel of the trilogy - Eve of Chaos, out later this year.

A major point of difference with this book as opposed to most other books in the paranormal/urban fantasy area is that this book is about angels. After reaching a near saturation level of vampires, werewolves and demons it’s great to see this branching out.

As I said in my review of the first book, I was fascinated with the story that Ms. Day has developed around the story of Cain and Abel. So many books focus on angels and demons, but there are so many stories in the bible that could be pulled from for the paranormal realm. And Ms. Day has done a fabulous job of that.

S.J. Day continues her winning streak with Eve of Destruction! Eve is a sexy, winning character with an attitude that never quits. Her struggles to find her place in this new landscape of angels and demons makes for compelling read. With suspense and romance to spare, Eve of Destruction will leave readers eagerly awaiting the next chapter—and thrilled that it is only one month away.
