S.J. Day's Blog

Now the idea of a superhuman, supernatural-hunting protagonist isn’t exactly an original concept. There’s Buffy, Anita Blake, and many others. So what sets Day’s series apart from the others? First off, the characters are just plain fun. The dialogue is lively, sardonic, and had me smiling many times throughout the book. This is one that both men and women will enjoy. Great start to the series!

I really do have a hard time resisting that kick-butt heroine. To me, this looks as though it could be as fun as the Rogue Angel concept.

S.J. Day has created a unique world, and it has many secrets that have yet to be revealed. I'm especially interested in finding out what sets Eve apart; there are hints that there is something unusual about her that caused her to be chosen in the first place. I'm also interested in the intricacies of angelic politics and what the various angels' agendas and plots are. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

I found Eve of Darkness to be erotic, exciting and enticing. It is an excellent start to a new series.

I stumbled across SJ Day on Amazon because she's got a blurb by Patricia Briggs. Her debut series will release the first two installments on April 28, and book 3 in June.

I also get to take a chunk of out my TBR pile with a visit to half-priced books. If S.J. Day’s Eve of Darkness was available now, the earlier TBR entries might be in trouble.
