Caroline Grant spent nearly three years writing a dissertation that about seven people read (including her mom). Now she is Senior Editor of Literary Mama, where she also writes a monthly movie column for a broad audience (still including her mom). She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Berkeley, and she has taught at Stanford University and the San Francisco Art Institute. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two sons, a life she writes about on her blog, food for thought .
