Several months ago, my daughter came home from college with The Hunger Games trilogy. I had vaguely heard of the books, and so I picked up the first one and read the book flap. “This sounds horrible!” I exclaimed. “Why would you ever read it?” Without waiting for an answer, I flipped to the first page, intending on scanning the first few paragraphs.
