This book depicts a woman's search for true love. Lynnette Thomas is a young, ambitious woman who must choose between her first love turned abusive and an old friendship that develops into a passionate romance.
Lynnette is a beautiful and passionate young woman from Atlanta who has firm plans for her life. She dreamed about marrying her childhood sweetheart, Billy Matthews, launching a career in business administration and raising a family. Lynnette’s plans start out well as she and Billy get married and move to Charleston, S.C., to begin their life together. They are the perfect couple for a while, until Billy becomes extremely possessive and demanding of Lynnette. He starts using drugs, alienates her from her friends and ambitions and emotionally and physically abuses her.
Billy ends up abandoning Lynnette while she is pregnant, leaving her feeling ashamed, hurt and alone. At her lowest point a long-lost childhood friend, Steve Montgomery, re-enters her life. Steve was a nerd in high school who loved Lynnette from afar, but is now a dashing, successful lawyer and sweeps Lynnette off her feet in a dazzling romance. Though both Steve and Lynnette are a little frightened by the new, unfamiliar feelings between them, they join together in a happy marriage. Their new life together flourishes until Billy resurfaces after a 10 year absence looking for a fresh start with Lynnette. Lynnette must decide whether to continue her life with Steve or give her first love a second chance.
Anyone who has ever felt the heartbreak and trials that love can bring, especially those who have experienced abusive or controlling relationships, will relate to Lynnette’s journey to find true love within herself. It also gives readers hope that they can bring their lives around from the brink of devastation and despair if they have the desire to help themselves.
When I wrote this book, it was a way for me to share some of my past experiences with others who or being abused or have been abused. Writing this book was my way of reaching out to them and hopefully encourage them to want better for themselves. I want to get it out there to the readers and/or abuse victims and try to reassure them that they are worthy of being helped and loved. This help can come from family and friends or professionally if the need be. I am speaking from experience as being a former abuse victim; I am a SURVIVOR. My strong faith in God and my family helped me to find my way back from that dark and lonely place. I am thankful and truly blessed. My past experience has taught me that, “LOVE SHOULDN’T HURT”.

after she discovers that her husband has been cheating on her. Hurt and betrayed, she seeks answers, which her husband, out of shame and guilt, refuses to give her. So she decides to seek answers elsewhere, from someone else, and who better than to get them from the very person who had told her about the affair in the first place? The chains of events that occur after the heroine meets David Lawrence, the other woman's husband, are flooring and poignant.
Dickey has created an intelligent, thought-provoking and at
The Other Woman is the gripping tale that chronicles the life of the nameless heroine times erotic modern tale of love, betrayal and trust. The way things unfold in this story is wonderful. We are shown these things and not told about them, something I always seek in well-written books. The author emphasizes things that you know will be important later on in the story, but that makes things far from predictable. You discover something from one of the characters in almost every chapter, and you can't put the book down. I like the erotica in this novel as well. The sex is not too in-your-face, at least not compared to other stuff I've read, but they're very sexy and sometimes explicit nevertheless. The one negative thing -- if you can call it that -- about this novel is Yvette. I thought she was the typical cliché uninhibited, fast-mouth friend. Other than that, I loved everything about The Other Woman. The heroine has a clear, concise voice, and you grow to love the nameless career woman with a penchant for classic sports cars. Give this a whirl. You won't regret it.

THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME! From the moment I opened the book and read the prologue, I was hooked. If you enjoyed THE MAINTENANCE MAN you will love GOD'S GIFT TO WOMEN. I would call it Fatal Attraction to the 25th power. Expect the unexpected.
GGTW is a story every dating individual should read, before going on that blind date, or out with that person picked up at a club. What looks good to you may not be good for you.
In the book Julian Payne had to find that out the hard way. After having a one night stand with a beautiful woman (Olivia), that just happens to be a psycho, the night before he moves from Chicago to Houston. Julian leaves himself open for trouble, and at the same time unknowingly put those that he love, his daughter(Samantha) best friend(Eddie), and his new lady (Terri) in danger when Olivia follows him to Houston and makes his life a living hell.
This book was too good to put down. READ IT! You will not be disappointed. Michael, Thank you for a GREAT book!

Brenda Jackson, Joylynn Jossell, Kayla Perrin and Tamara Sneed really did their thing in this book. Each author has developed great characters plus romantic and pleasurable stories. One of the pet peeves that I have regarding short stories is that once a story pulls you in, it quickly spits you out leaving you wanting more.
"The Hunter" by Brenda Jackson is about sexy Hunter who is a P.I. by trade and a playa by choice. His ex girlfriend Mallory ended their four months affair six months ago because he was not ready for a commitment. Now she wants him to investigate her brother-in-law who she fears is cheating on her sister after seeing him at the Hilton; as a result to this old feelings spark right back up. After reading this I was quite please. Brenda did not disappoint me on this story.
"Just Wanna Love Ya" by Joylynn Jossel is about party girl Jai who goes out every Friday to "Club Cream" for her weekly fix. But what she finds in Sloan might be all the medicine she needs because later on he overtly shows her how much he desires her. This wasn't bad but was least of my favorites and was my first read by this author.
In "Never Satisfied" by Kayla Perrin we have single Amani who is tired of the blind dates and one-night stands. But those days are over when an old crush returns to rekindle her flame, Amani still fantasizes over her high school senior year teacher Aaron although a decade has passed. No man she has met before or since measures up to him, but although he was not much older than her he rejected her advances. As he steps in "Coffee, Tea, and Me" where she works and the reality is even better than her fantasy's. Kayla did a great job with this story and ended up being one of my favorites. I just wish it was a full fledge book because there was so much to tell from what these characters were going through.
Finally we have "Fantasy Man" by Tamara Sneed. We have Olivia, who reluctantly serves as PR specialist to Hollywood action hero Clark. He prefers not to have her as his escort as she has been outrageously rude to him at her family gatherings. Meanwhile we fine the dinner plans for VIP Clark Stone can't compete with his plans for the pleasure afterwards. This story was really good and was my second favorite. This was the first time reading from this author as well. The barn scene was hot makes you want to fine a farm nearby.
"An All Night Man" is sure to make its readers pull an all-nighter. The stories here were all so different. They all worked with the same theme yet each author approached it in such a wide range of variety. I enjoyed the book and I think other readers will too.

Usually I DO NOT paranormal romances. I've typically found paranormals to be a bit weirdo stuff. Well, Love's Potion proved me wrong in my prejudices. These characters are deftly crafted, and so interesting that from the very beginning I cared what happened to them.
Ms. Jackson did what some authors fail to do; she created a hero that the reader can't help but fall passionately in love (and lust) with. I mean, what normal woman wouldn't love to have a totally hot genie (pardon me, djinni) grant her one wish? Sounds like the stuff of my fantasies anyway. But of course, it doesn't quite pan out that way (does it ever?) The course to true love never runs smooth, but poor Jasmine and Raziq have a bit more to contend with than usual; demons and sorceresses and even an honest-to-goodness succubi. But no incubi, oh well, maybe in the next book Ms. Jackson?
And did I mention that not only is this book hot and steamy with an engaging story that I couldn't put down, but it was also funny. Ms. Jackson has a rapier wit that comes through in this story that had me laughing out loud at times (when she wasn't scaring the bejesus out of me!) All in all this was a great book and a wonderful read.... I would recommend it.

Here we meet the McBroom sisters--Frankie, Livvy and Tommie.
Frankie is the eldest sister and has all of the material things that she could possibly want; it's her love life that's lacking. Having no success meeting men in any of the conventional ways, she resorts to seeking love over the Internet. What follows is a series of disappointing dates, leaving Frankie to wonder if she will ever find her soul mate.
Livvy, the middle sister, is dealing with the infidelity of her husband--and the possible lifelong ramifications from the affair. Angry, she turns to the Internet looking for answers, and finds a man whose wife has also betrayed him. The result is a hot, torrid affair with someone who appears to be wonderful. But things are never as they seem.
Tommie is the youngest sister, who continues to recover from an abusive relationship--and she has the physical scars to prove it. Celibate for two years, she cannot deny the attraction she feels for her neighbor, Blue--who is also 16 years her senior, with a young child and plenty of baby momma drama. Not to mention the fact that he is one of sister’s Frankie's tenants.
The holiday season just seemed to heighten the emotional roller coaster of each sister as they reflect on their lives, the loss of their parents and their current set of challenges that faces them individually as well as collectively. We are taken into the hearts of these young women as they struggle to make sense of their lives, their shattered loves and the loss of their loved ones.
The sisters draw strength from past memories of their beloved mother and father and even though they might not want to admit it, they learn how much they need each other, and how deep the bond of sisterhood goes.
I enjoyed this book. I've read other books by this author and they're all worth reading. The characters were lively and real, the story moves along and keeps one interested, the holiday theme is present but not overwhelming and it has a good message of love and family.
