آنگاه آن را در راه به دست آوردن سلامت خويش خرج ميكنند!
آن ها بيتاب آينده اند،
لحظه حال را فراموش ميكنند، و بدين سان
نه در حال زندگي ميكنند و نه در آينده!
آن ها چنان زندگي ميكنند كه گويي هرگز نخواهند مرد،
و چنان مي ميرند كه گويي هرگز به دنيا نيامده اند!
آنگاه دستان گرم خداوند دستانم را گرفتند و ما هردو لحظاتي سكوت كرديم.
پرسيدم ما مردم عيال توييم اي خدا!
دوست داري ما بيش تر ياد آور چه چيزهايي باشيم؟
خداوند گفت:
اين چيزها:
شما نمي توانيد كسي را واداريد كه دوست تان داشته باشد
شما فقط ميتوانيد خود را دوست داشتني كنيد.
خوب نيست وضع خودتان را با وضع ديگران قياس كنيد
بخشش را با بخشيدن ميتوان آموخت.
ممكن است در مدت چند ثانيه؛
در دل كساني كه دوست شان مي داريد زخمي عميق ايجاد كنيد،
اما شفا دادن آن زخم سال ها طول خواهد كشيد.
دارا كسي نيست كه مال فراواني دارد،
بلكه كسي هست كه نياز كم تري دارد.
هميشه هستند كساني كه شما را دوست دارند،
اما نمي دانند چگونه عشق شان را ابراز كنند!
ممكن است دو نفر به يك چيز نگاه كنند،
اما آن چيز را متفاوت ببينند.
بخشيدن يكديگر كافي نيست
شما بايد خود را نيز ببخشيد.
گفتم متشكرم خدا!
آيا چيزي هست كه دوست داشته باشي آن را هميشه به ياد داشته باشيم؟
خداوند دوباره لبخندي زد و گفت:
" دوست دارم بدانيد كه من هستم،
و هميشه خواهم بود"

" آن زمان كه تنها يك رد پا مي بيني؛
زماني است كه من تو را در آغوش خويش حمل مي كنم. "
