Publishers Weekly:
In this riveting paranormal thriller from MacGregor (Black Water, etc.), Florida psychic Mira Morales, her FBI agent fianc , Wayne Sheppard, and her 14-year-old daughter, Annie, pay a visit to old friends, Ramona and Jerry Stevens, at their woodland cabin outside Asheville, N.C. Soon after arrival, Mira opens the cabin door to a seemingly pleasant woman who introduces herself as Allie then pulls out a gun. For a stranger, Allie seems to know an awful lot about Mira and Sheppard. When Mira flees to the Stevens' barn, Allie chases her and shoots her in the thigh. Hurting Mira wasn't part of Allie's plan, but it does make it easier to abduct Mira in her Land Rover. While Sheppard and Annie work on tracking Mira down, the story flashes back 15 years to focus on the dysfunctional, wealthy Curry family. These flashbacks are the book's biggest strength, as they present a tantalizing puzzle involving Dean Curry and his power-mad older sister, Allie, and provide a convincing motive for Allie's violent actions. The story works so well as a family drama that the supernatural elements are almost forgotten. Still, Mira's special gift, which later becomes Annie's, turns an already exciting yarn into something truly unusual.
Publishers Weekly:
Ambitious scientist George Nash and Luis Manteles, an Ecuadoran shaman, have finally created the technology to make humans and objects invisible, but their project gets out of hand when an experiment with Tyler and Logan Griffin, their first ever human test subjects, goes awry. Three years later, Logan, who escaped shortly after becoming invisible, sneaks into Nash's Florida compound to free her husband, whom Nash has confined in a glass house. With the help of her visible roommate, Logan shuts down the computer system-at the same time that the Townsends, a family of three, wander into the test site. Consequently, the Townsends, along with a super intelligent Labrador retriever, turn invisible. Now targets of an effort by the National Security Bureau (NSB) to capture them, family and dog are forced on the run. After a plethora of close calls, a killing and a miraculous healing, all characters converge in a heady conclusion that hinges on Nash. Will he end the project or hand the Griffins, the Townsends and his life's work over to the NSB? MacGregor's (The Other Extreme) pseudoscientific explanations of Nash's "shrouding" technology are beyond belief, but her characters are drawn convincingly. Despite the familiarity of the story line, readers will easily get caught up in the suspense of the chase.
A storm lashes South Florida. Frank Benedict, a high-powered attorney with a Miami firm, is driving home from what should have been the biggest night of his career. Instead, the client he's been wooing for months won't commit, threatening to blow his pending partnership. Now, fueled by alcohol and rage, Benedict aims his BMW at the nearest target - an Explorer crawling through the deluge. After slamming the vehicle full force, he backs up and hits it again. He's about to ram it a third time when the passenger door flies open and a pregnant woman stumbles out and collapses on the ground. Deeply shaken, he flees the scene. For FBI veteran Charlie Calloway, the search for the man who killed her husband and unborn child becomes a race against time. She teams up with former agent Doug Logan, a man whose near death experience left him with extraordinary psychic powers - to "read" inanimate objects, to pick up other peoples' pain, even to see visions from a human touch. Together, Charlie and Doug hunt through a maze of evidence that defies logical explanation and leads them into the most frightening place of all...the shadows of the human mind.

    From Publishers Weekly:
Through succinct prose and sharp dialogue, MacGregor (The Seventh Sense) spins a haunting tale of classified technologies that warp the delicate fabric of space-time. Drawn outside by a mysterious convergence of birds on his upstate New York property, veterinarian Max Thorn watches as Ellen, his live-in girlfriend of seven years, literally vanishes before his eyes. Max suspects that Ellen's disappearance is connected to the bird gathering, but he has nothing but a handful of mutilated birds and a patch of dead grass to prove his claim. On the lam with a half-million-dollar price tag on his head and his cop neighbor pursuing him relentlessly, Max settles in Piper Key, Fla., where Internet tales of bizarre animal behavior have led him in search of answers. Although MacGregor's "scientific" explanations are rather dense at times, her accounts of island-sized pods of dolphins, instantaneous concentrations of insects and unexplainable energy points are chilling nevertheless. Readers will also appreciate the quirky characters--a dolphin center owner, a teenager who possesses the uncanny ability to communicate with animals, an anonymous wildlife columnist and a rich computer whiz kid--who unite to explain these provocative incidents.

A research psychiatrist specializing in near-death experiences, Jack Bishop has just experienced his own very final death at the hands of an unknown murderer. His wife, Kate, was Quin St. James's best friend in college. Now, she's the prime suspect in her husband's murder. But turning to Quin and McCleary for help brings them all nearer to death.
Quin knows that Kate is innocent, and she and McCleary dig deep to prove it. But all they find is shocking evidence that Jack Bishop was leading a secret life of drugs, orgies, and something far more deadly. As Quin and McCleary close in, the killer begins to cover his bloody tracks the way he knows best: with corpses . . . .
"MacGregor whips up a great lather of suspense." The New York Times Book Review

The trip was against Quin St. James's better judgment. But for her, the camping expedition deep into the heart of the Florida Everglades was a kind of penance, a shot at reconciliation with her estranged husband and investigative partner Mike McCleary. And it wasn't as if they'd be stuck with each other. Along for the trek were their friends, Lydia and Beau Nichols.

But the Glades features an added attraction not found in the guidebooks. In a wilderness where nothing human is supposed to live dwells a band of modern savages. Twisted by decades of isolation, their blunt suspicion and blistering hatred is set to explode when one of their own has an unexpected confrontation with the visitors from civilization . . . .
