Es ist das letzte der Zehn Gebote, die Gott Moses auf dem Berge Sinai gab, aber es ist der Kern aller Kriminalhandlung: Das Begehren, das böse, schwarze, immer ist es das Begehren, was uns treibt. Erst dann kommen die restlichen Übel der Welt: das Stehlen, das Morden. Vor allem -- Krimileser wissen es -- das Morden.
Hier begehren viele etwas: Alte Kibbuzniks begehren die Reinheit ihrer Ideale (und sollte es das Leben kosten), das Mordopfer begehrte zuvor Rache für Demütigungen, der berühmte Knesset-Abgeordnete begehrt die Geliebte seiner Jugendtage. Ein Gewirr, das den Hörer -- die Regie von Corinne Frottier sorgt dafür -- dennoch zu keiner Zeit verwirrt. Nicht zuletzt dank charakteristischer Stimmen: Hannelore Hoger einmal nicht als Bella Block zu hören ist ein Vergnügen. Schade, daß das Booklet keine Angaben zur Musik macht, denn sie trägt den Hörer in ein Israel zwischen Kibbuzromantik und Jetztzeit. --Michael Winteroll
]]>In den erfolgreichen psychologischen Romanen Batya Gurs rund um ihren Ermittler Ochajon haben viele eine Leiche im Keller, und zumeist haben diese Leichen auch etwas zu tun mit der schwierigen und konfliktbeladenen Geschichte Israels. So ist es auch im Band Und Feuer fiel vom Himmel, der durch eine ausgeklügelte Dramaturgie und einen klug gezogenen Spannungsbogen besticht.
