Zagat Chicago 1997 Restaurant Survey. The Windy City Survey, which has been part of the Zagat's consumer-written guidebook series since 1986, this year brings together 1,600 local diners to rate and review 815 restaurants from the Loop to Lincoln Park as well as surrounding suburbs and areas in Indiana, Michigan, Milwaukee and parts of Wisconsin. Zagat surveyors offer written commentary and score each establishment on a 0-to-30 scale for Food, Decor and Service, as well as providing an average cost-per-meal.
